I. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. International Organ Braudo-Competition is founded by Saint-Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire
These regulations give the general rules and the order of competition and participation in it.
II. COMPETITION OBJECTIVES AND AIMS are:
- to support young talented musicians,
- to support international relationships in organ culture,
- to improve the professional level of young musicians,
- to provide an opportunity for competition participants and their tutors to share professional experiences,
- to provide concert opportunities for young talented musicians,
- to improve the status of the professional classical musician among young people,
- to preserve noble Russian music traditions and to establish new music traditions,
- to promote noble traditions of St. Petersburg Conservatoire - Russia's oldest music school – on the international level
- to support the cultural life of St.Petersburg – the cultural capital of Russia
III. ORGANIZING COMMITTEE AND COMPETITION MANAGEMENT
Organizing Committee is established as a governing body responsible for direction and guidance of the International Organ Braudo-Competition;
List of the members is approved by the rector of St. Petersburg Conservatoire.

Rector of St. Petersburg State Conservatoire is the chair of the Organizing Committee.
The Organizing Committee sets up Competition regulations, approves financial estimates for the Festival, designates trustees and partners of the Festival, designs Competition program, determines order of appearance for Competition participants, designates program for seminars, workshops, master classes, presentations and other Competition events, designates the selection jury and the main competition jury (see attached), determines the body of Competition Management Group.
Competition Management group accepts applications submitted by participants, sends invitations, carries out communications to participants, works to design layouts for printed matter, conducts the Competition according to the regulations set up by the Festival Organizing Committee, carries out communications to mass-media and arranges the press-conference, carries out the registration of participants, designs the rehearsal schedule, takes care of staying of Jury-members, takes care of accommodation of competitors.
IV. COMPETITION PROCEDURE
Frequency - The Competition is held once in five years.
Dates and Duration - The Competition is held in 2019.
First round (recordings) – till November 1-st
Second round – December 5-6
Third (Final) round – on December 8
Competition Venue - St. Petersburg (Russia).
- The Competition relies on the extra-budgetary funds of St. Petersburg State Conservatoire.
- The application fees could be used only for the purposes of the Competition.
- Budgetary resource spending is controlled by the Festival Organizing Committee.

VII. TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
The competition is open to all organists – students or graduates of High Education schools and institutions – who did not yet reached the age of 35 years old in the year of competition (2019).
Order of appearance and rehearsals is designated and regulated by the Festival Organizing Committee.
During the Festival the competitors and jury-members participate in TV shootings, TV and radio interviews, press-conferences, audio- and video-recordings of their performances made to promote the Festival, create its archive and a record a souvenir CD of the Festival free of charge with no fees paid.
During their performance and rehearsals the competition participants should follow internal code of conduct established by the Saint-Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire Administration and the Administration of the churches and concert halls, where competition will be held.
Entrance fee for Russian participants is 2500 Roubles, for foreign participants 50 Euros. Foreign participants should pay to :

VIII. APPLICATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
To take part in the Competition applicants should fill out a form (see attachment) and send it to the Organizing Committee not later than OCTOBER 25 to the following mail-address: email@example.com with the notice “For the ORGAN COMPETITION”.
The following documents are to be submitted together with the application form:
a) copy of the passport (1-st page);
b) copy of the certificate of music education;
c) curriculum vitae with all organ teachers and places of studies and work – in English or Russian;
d) letter of recommendation from a music institution, music college, or from prominent figure in organ music - in English or Russian;
e) portrait photo, at least 1,5 MB
f) completed application form
g) complete program to be performed in each of the Competition's rounds with timing of each piece (part) - in English or Russian;
h) the copy of the receipt of the payment of the entrance-fee
i) audio-recording with the program of the 1-st round and with the indication of the stop-list of the organ on which the program was recorded, and place of the recording. Recording of each piece can be made in different places, but cannot be edited.
Audio recording must be uploaded to Googledrive and a link to it has to be sent to the contest email, along with other documents. Access to the link should be made accessible to the user of the contest account (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Without an application and payment of the entrance fee the participation is not considered. Entrance fee will not be returned.
Organizing Committee does not review application materials and recordings sent by participants.
Each candidate selected to the 2-nd round after the selection round will get an official invitation letter from the organizing committee by email not later than 1-st of November 2019.
IX. ORDER OF THE COMPETITION
- Competition auditions of the 2-nd and 3-rd round are conducted publicly. Each piece may be performed only in one round.
- The order of performance is determined by drawing of lots before the second round and before the third round.
- Winners of other international or national competitions are not exempted from taking part in the first round.
- The decisions of the jury are final, irresistible and are not subject to any appeal.
- No more than 12 contestants who passed the selection round may participate in the second round.
- Not more than five contestants will be admitted to the Third Round.
- The final placing and awards will be decided at the Concluding Meeting of the panel of the Jury.
- The Organizing Committee provides all participants who are not residents of St.Petersburg with an assistant free of charge (for the competition performance and for one rehearsal to each round – second and third). Contestants may bring their own assistants, and in this case the contestants or their organizations shall cover all the expenses of the assistants (travel to and from the Competition, boarding, and lodging).

XI. PRIZES AND AWARDS
The Organizing Committee for the Third INTERNATIONAL ORGAN BRAUDO-COMPETITION offers the following prizes and awards:
1st Prize named after Robert Delzell Foundation (USA) - 2,000 Euro and Laureate Title
2 prize named after the Irina Bogacheva Foundation (Russia) - 1,400 Euros and the title of laureate
3 prize named after the Gartow Foundation (Germany) - 1,000 Euro and the title of laureate
4th prize named after the company Eule (Germany) - 500 Euro and the title of laureate
Diploma named after the Trading House on Nevsky - 400 Euro and the title of diplomant
Special Prize from the magazine "Organ Salons" and Special Prize from Center for Cultural and Creative Development "Art Pro".
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to award special prizes and diplomas.
Depending on the results shown within the limit of the numbers of prizes, the Jury has the option:
a) to refrain from awarding any of prizes;
b) to divide the prizes between performers (except for the First Prize).
State and public organizations, artistic unions, mass media, institutions and firms can award special prizes and concert arrangements upon agreement with the Organizing Committee and the Jury Panel.
XII. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS: ACCOMODATION etc.
Participants of the Competition pay for their trip to St. Petersburg and back themselves or allocate funds from their sponsors or schools.
Participants of the second and third round of the competition are accommodated in the student dormitories and apartments belonging to St. Petersburg State Conservatoire free of charge.
The Organizing Committee arranges visa support to Russia for foreign participants.
The Organizing Committee provides participants with an assistant free of charge. Contestants may bring their own assistants, and in this case the contestants or their organizations shall cover all the expenses of the assistants.
XIII. PRINTED MATTER
Competition promotion materials may include various printed matter: posters, placards, banners, booklet in English and Russian, files, flyers, leaflets, postcards, envelopes, bags with Competition logo, invitations.
XIV. COMPETITION MEDIA COVERAGE
Each year we work out PR- and advertising strategy to promote INTERNATIONAL ORGAN BRAUDO-COMPETITION and it’s events that are being widely advertised and later reviewed in the mass media.
